Overview
Assistance under this objective is
aimed at improving the health of Paraguayan population,
specially women in reproductive age and those living
in rural areas.
Specifically, the program has a focus on supporting
local health services and regional and local authorities
to improve the provision of quality basic health services
and to improve maternal health. |
|
|
| |
Support is also provided to local NGOs in order to expand
the access to health services within the underserved population.
It involves a multi-institutional approach that is augmenting
delivery of both, reproductive health and family planning
services to rural and underserved populations. It is enabling
Paraguay to approach the foal of “every child a wanted
and healthy child, and every mother a survivor”
The Health Program includes activities
in the following areas:
• Health decentralization
• Quality of reproductive health services
• Maternal health
